They firmly believe in biodiversity-friendly farming methods, and actively promote sustainable best practices.
Skimmelberg farms are part of a world heritage site – both rooibos and buchu occur naturally on the Skimmelberg farms on the slopes of the Skimmelberg Mountain, which is named after the dapple-grey appearance of its rock-strewn peak.
