Skimmelberg is a family owned company, rooted in the local community with extensive experience gained over generations in the production of buchu and rooibos products.
As both growers and processors of their own produce, Skimmelberg adheres to the highest standards in the entire production process, and as a result, produce an outstanding range of indigenous teas. They firmly believe in biodiversity-friendly farming methods, and actively promote sustainable best practices.
Skimmelberg farms are part of a world heritage site – both rooibos and buchu occur naturally on the Skimmelberg farms on the slopes of the Skimmelberg Mountain, which is named after the dapple-grey appearance of its rock-strewn peak.
